Make Money Writing Articles Online

by admin on December 29, 2009

This article is not a scam and not to show you that you can make hundreds, thousands or millions of dollars writing articles online. I’ve been writing articles mainly at eHow.com since 2008. I honestly, don’t make very much money per month. It’s fluctuated between $10-20 per month in income. Hell, that’s better than nothing. I also tried to write articles at triond.com but the pay out was very little, after 2 months of putting articles I had made $0.53 cents; yes, 53 cents. And with Factoidz, i’m fairly new to the site, I joined a couple months ago and have 14 articles, however the articles don’t generate much income if any at all. Last Month I made 93 cents and it looks like my earnings for December will also be 93 cents. However, I have not published any articles lately.

At ehow.com my 2008 earnings was $83 for the entire year and for 2009 it’s jumped quite a bit to $185, however for the month of December the actual earnings was much less than it usually is. I’m not sure why that is..maybe because this is a bad year for everyone all over the world. People are still losing their cars, houses and jobs, it’s pathetic here in the U.S. – it really is.

Anyway, let’s take a better look at the different sites that you can write articles online at:

EzineArticles

With Ezinearticles you can publish an article, promote it and get lots of views; it’s a great way to write about something related to your website. Say for example if you are a computer expert, go on ahead and write a great article on how protect your computer, then link it to your website, where guests can view more information about that particular article.  Let’s take a look at Ezinearticle’s Compete Profile:

11.6 million unique visitors is ALOT; now if you are accepted as an author, just imagine how many views you might be able to get that could help bring more visitors to your blog or website. And, if you have your links to other sites you write on, ultimately, you could potentially make more income per month with more unique visitors.

eHow

With eHow, you can write about almost anything you can think of! But, it has to be an eHow..meaning it has how show people how to do something. You can upload a video ehow or an article ehow. eHow does moderate each article that is submitted and when it doesn’t comply or is a duplicate they will remove it, no matter how many views or how money it’s made you. This type of website is great to follow on trends or create articles that branch of a popular trends.  And, once you make $10 they will send you a payment through paypal, which usually arrives 10 days into the beginning of the next month. Now, let’s view it’s Compete profile:

eHow.com gets double the unique visitors that ezinearticles does; it got over 24 million unique visitors in November. Now remember, I said I started writing articles there in 2008, if you notice on their time line 2008 was where ezinearticles is now today. eHow has gotten so popular in almost 2 years and if you write great articles and get lots of unique visitors to your articles than technically your income there COULD be unlimited; of course depending on the economy and how many people are actually looking for an ehow article will vary.

Factoidz

With factoidz you can publish articles and earn a bit of income. However, factoidz has changed their writers policy and all new writers must now apply to be a writer and the quality of your content must be good, if it isn’t you won’t be granted the ability to write on their website. Like I said above, with Factoidz, I earned 93 cents on both Nov & Dec 2009…not a whole lot compared to making almost $20 a month with eHow.com But still it is a bit of income. Let’s view Factoidz profile on Compete.com:

Now, as you can see, Factoidz.com is very low on unique visitors, sitting around 100k per month for past 3 months. Perhaps in another year Factoidz will grown too a much better website with more visitors.

Triond

Triond is another area to write online articles, however, triond is more “community” based, meaning most of the views are from other members and in doing google searches on articles triond never showed up on the first few pages, it was always eHow or ezinearticles. With Triond, I made a grand total of 53 cents in two months, however, it is weird, triond actually has more unique visitors than Factoidz, but I made double at Factoidz. See the chart below:

As you can see from the chart, Triond.com fell almost 100k unique visitors between October and November; ezinearticles and factoids also fell down some, with eHow still in the lead with 24 million unique visitors per month.

We can determine, that eHow is most likely the better choice out of all to write articles at and actually earn an income, but do not forget about Factoidz, even though might make less than a dollar per month there. And be sure to use Ezinearticles as a way to promote your business, professional skills other areas of expertize; that’s extra visitors for your website or other articles.

Good luck on your quest to making money online by writing articles.

Making money in the Internet is not so simple as everyone think, make money working online with simple membership websites, or CPA is one of the most often choices, but this is not so easy . One of the fastest ways, maybe not so profitable as CPA is AdSense websites, there are a thousands of great website themes optimized for this , promotion of niche keywords in search enginesis is very simple.
