Since I had to reformat my computer I decided to try a download manager to use with downloads. I searched the web for all kinds of download managers. I tried Speedbit download manager, but that ended up just being a hassle. Bad software. Then I found Free Download Manager. Here’s what you can do with it:
-
Increase your download speed and resume broken downloads
-
HTTP/FTP/BitTorrent support
-
Flash video download
-
GNU General Public License
-
easy file sharing
-
Enjoy safer and more rewarding downloading
Free Download Manager also supports a variety of languages, video download, schedule downloads & spyware and adware protection through a community where people give their opinion about software they download. It’s a great addition to the computer and much better than using the built in download manager in your browser.
I really love how fast it downloads. And, to be honest, I got it specifically so I could download my Mozy backups faster than just going through the browser. My download times are cut in half. What would have taken me 7hours for a 1.8GB zip file, is now dropped down to 3-4 hours in Free Download Manager. I just love it. And best of all, It’s absolutely free! This is software worth keeping at all times
