Microsoft Security Essentials, which was previously released in September 2009, now has a new beta. Microsoft has added new features to the beta version; however, I don’t think they are features that we really need.
- Firewall Integration
- Protection from web based threats (with IE only)
- Improved protection engine
Now, all this beta needs is some Phishing protection, integration with firefox, chrome & opera and to be a bit faster on scans. If I wasn’t using Norton 360, then I would definitely give this a try. As, I bet coupled with Malwarebyte’s Anti-malware, I could have have some solid protection with less cpu usage.
Anyway, I won’t ramble any longer…you can find the beta version of Microsoft Security Essentials, here
